The conference focuses on basic and applied research in the areas of Food Safety and Health Impact of Viruses, Viral Stability and Inactivation, Emerging Technologies for Viral Disinfection and Treatment Processes, Viral Fate and Transport, Source Tracking, Risk Assessment, Epidemiology and the Impact of Climate changes on Viral Occurrence.
Viral diseases remain to be a significant public health burden worldwide. Continuous emergence of new viruses necessitates research in advancing environmental virology to fill the knowledge gaps for protecting individuals and communities from these pervasive nanoscale threats.
The Conference is a continuation of the previous successful events in Lisbon (2012, Portugal), Corfu (2014, Greece) and Kusatsu (2016, Japan).
Participants in the 6th ISFEV Conference could be invited to send full articles for publication in a special issue of the Journal of Food and Environmental Virology.
